11 Things to Know Before Playing Pokémon Pokopia
Pokémon Pokopia is a straightforward life sim, and it’s more streamlined and intuitive than games like Animal Crossing. I’m still early in my playthrough, but I’ve picked up several tips that can help in the opening hours. Construction in Pokopia takes real-world time, but you can make the game think that time has passed by changing the console’s clock—turn off internet-based synchronization in system settings and move the date and time.
The game also rewards daily logins: some challenges refresh each day and the store rotates daily items like furniture, so there’s a small incentive to boot it up regularly. Ditto often runs around in its trainer’s form, but it will revert to its pink blob to squeeze through tight spaces, giving access to areas you might otherwise miss.
Ditto carries your inventory, and you can strafe while holding ZL to place items or aim moves with precision.
