The 98th Academy Awards take place this weekend, and if you want to get in the mood there are several strong options on US Netflix. Below are three films worth streaming before—or after—the ceremony. Anthony Minghella’s The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999) is a psychological thriller that earned five Oscar nominations.

Matt Damon plays Tom Ripley, a Manhattan lavatory attendant who cons his way into the life of Dickie Greenleaf (Jude Law) and becomes dangerously attached. Cate Blanchett and Philip Seymour Hoffman provide notable supporting turns. Rotten Tomatoes: 85% | IMDb: 7.4/10 Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein adapts Mary Shelley’s novel into a visually striking gothic horror that probes whether the monster or the creator is more culpable.

Jacob Elordi stars as the Creature and Oscar Isaac as Victor Frankenstein, with Mia Goth, Christoph Waltz, Felix Kammerer and Lars Mikkelsen among the supporting cast. The film has nine nominations at this year’s Oscars.
