3 new Netflix movies to watch this weekend (March 21–March 22)
Ladies and gentlemen: the weekend. Celebrate the end of winter by sinking into a good movie — here are three top films Netflix added earlier in the week, ranging from brain-munching horror to a campy coming-of-age story with a supernatural twist and a beloved animated franchise about a green ogre and his talking donkey.
Teen Wolf stars Michael J. Fox as Scott Howard, a slightly nerdy teen on the basketball team who inherits a family curse and turns into a werewolf. The film asks whether being a werewolf makes you a better basketball player. Fox was filming Teen Wolf near the initial production of Back to the Future, and he has said he only had time to make the movie because Family Ties was on a brief break while Meredith Baxter-Birney was having a baby; the documentary Still, available on Apple TV Plus, explores that period.
Shrek and Shrek 2 are on Netflix, and they remain two of the most enjoyable animated films for many viewers.
