6 new streaming releases this weekend — Bridgerton, Wonder Man, Momoa and more
GamesRadar+ highlights six new movies and shows to stream this weekend, including Bridgerton season 4 Part 1 on Netflix (from January 29), Disney Plus’ Wonder Man (premieres January 27), Shrinking season 3 on Apple TV Plus (January 28), HBO Max’s If I Had Legs I’d Kick You (January 30), Prime Video’s The Wrecking Crew (January 28) and Hulu’s Wicked Little Letters (January 27).
Bridgerton returns with season 4 Part 1 on Netflix, centering on Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) and his romance with maid Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha). The season adapts Julia Quinn’s third Bridgerton novel, An Offer from a Gentleman, and finds Benedict falling for the Lady in Silver at a masked dance; Jonathan Bailey and Nicola Coughlan also reprise their roles.
Wonder Man, created by Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Guest, debuts on Disney Plus on January 27 and introduces Simon Williams (played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) to the MCU. Per the logline, Simon meets Trevor Slattery and learns legendary director Von Kovak is remaking the superhero film Wonder Man.
Shrinking season 3 premieres on Apple TV Plus on January 28; the series is co-created by Jason Segel, Brett Goldstein and Bill Lawrence. The new season adds Jeff Daniels and Michael J. Fox to the cast, with Harrison Ford returning as therapist Paul Rhoades, and continues to explore grief, forgiveness and how to move forward.
