9 ChatGPT caricature trend attempts that went wrong
If you’ve been online in the past week, you’ve probably seen the ChatGPT caricature trend. People are prompting the chatbot with a simple request: "Create a caricature of me based on everything you know about me." In the best cases the result is a cute, wholesome cartoon that reflects a person’s hobbies or career.
Not every image turns out that way. On Reddit and X, users have shared some particularly strange results, and in several examples ChatGPT appears to be calling out the user. One Reddit submission from crunchy-wraps looks normal at first but reveals questionable details when you zoom in.
Many caricatures are more traditional and cartoonish, but others adopt the insulting style you might expect from a rude boardwalk artist. Users on X who tried Grok Imagine have reported especially poor outputs, though those examples at least aren’t undressing people without consent.
