A Haunting in Venice Arrives on Hulu April 30
A Haunting in Venice, Kenneth Branagh’s latest Agatha Christie adaptation, will be available to stream on Hulu beginning April 30. The film is the third installment in Branagh’s Poirot trilogy, following Murder on the Orient Express and Death on the Nile. The story finds a self-exiled, retired Hercule Poirot living in Venice.
A friend persuades him to attend a séance at a decaying palazzo, and when one of the guests is murdered he is pulled into a sinister world of shadows and secrets. Viewers have pointed to its Gothic-horror atmosphere and the way it blends supernatural elements with a classic whodunit.
Critics and audiences have given the film a 76 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes. Though it is the lowest earner in the trilogy at $122.3 million, many reviewers highlighted its impressive visuals, stylish direction and strong ensemble performances.
