‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’ Season 2 Confirms Lannister Link
A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms introduced a broad cast in Season 1, from leads Dunk (Peter Claffey) and Egg (Dexter Sol Ansell) to memorable side players such as Baelor, Lyonel and Raymun. The finale sends Dunk and Egg off to serve elsewhere, leaving many characters behind, and Season 2, set for 2027, will bring a new roster—including Peter Mullan as Ser Eustace Osgrey, Babou Ceesay as Ser Bennis, and Ludy Boynton as Lady Rohanne Webber.
Lady Rohanne appears in George R. R. Martin’s novella "The Sworn Sword" as the last surviving child of Lord Webber and the head of House Webber. Known as the Red Widow, she has outlived multiple husbands by the time of the book, and sometime afterward she marries her sixth husband, Gerold Lanniser.
That marriage produces four sons, one of whom becomes the father of Tywin Lannister. That lineage makes Lady Rohanne Tywin’s grandmother, a clear and direct tie between the prequel and Game of Thrones despite the roughly 90 years separating the series.
