Abigayle Oakley’s Blind Audition Earns an Instant Triple Turn

Abigayle Oakley, a 25-year-old Las Vegas native, earned a coveted three-chair turn during the first night of Blind Auditions on The Voice: Battle of Champions. She played guitar and delivered an unexpected acoustic take on Robyn's "Call Your Girlfriend," turning the pop-dance track into a folk-y indie arrangement that highlighted her head voice and pitch control.

Coaches reacted quickly—Adam Levine said "let's go" practically after the first note, Kelly Clarkson called it "Oh, pretty!" and John Legend deemed her "special." All three coaches vied to recruit Oakley. "The second you started singing, all three of us were just like, 'boom, okay let's go.' You have a special thing we all picked up on instantaneously," Levine said, adding, "I always hope that someone that does something different can carry the flag for the show.
