Adam Levine Jokes About Blake Shelton's Voice Chair

Adam Levine couldn't resist poking fun at Blake Shelton while occupying the country star's red chair on The Voice. Shelton left after a 23-season run in 2023, and Levine returned as a coach in Season 27 after a six-year hiatus. On The Jennifer Hudson Show, Hudson asked how it feels to be sitting there.

Levine deadpanned, "It doesn't smell great," adding, "It smells kinda off. Weathered, you know? Worn-in. The seat's a little more sunken-in ... He's a tall drink of water, that guy." Levine said he enjoys the role, telling Hudson, "It feels good," and quipping, "It's fine that I'm on the end, I'm an 'end seat' kind of guy.

After Levine and Clarkson turned for 16-year-old Liv Ciara and Levine falsely shouted, "Me too!", Clarkson asked, "Do you want a liar for a Coach?" Legend added, "He’s in Blake’s old chair.
