Aferiy P280 review: 2,048Wh power station for emergency backup
The Aferiy P280 is a 2,048Wh portable power station built around automotive-grade LiFePO4 cells with a long lifespan and improved safety. It delivers 2,800W continuous power and can handle peaks up to 5,600W, while offering 15 ports including five AC outlets, four USB‑C ports, USB‑A, car and DC outputs, and an XT‑60 port to charge a wide range of devices.
Inputs are flexible: a variable AC input (600W–1,800W) and dual XT90 ports support solar charging (up to 600W per port) or vehicle power. On AC alone it reaches 80% in under an hour and full in about 90 minutes; with 1,200W of solar it charges in roughly 2.5 hours.
You can also combine AC, solar and car charging to make the most of limited power windows. The unit can act as an uninterruptible power supply, switching from AC to battery in under 10 milliseconds. A clear front display shows inputs, outputs and run time, while the mobile app handles firmware updates, silent charging and recharge scheduling.
