After 4 Episodes, The Last Thing He Told Me Season 2 Is a Game-Changer

Editor's note: The below contains spoilers for The Last Thing He Told Me Season 2 Episode 4. Halfway through Season 2, Episode 4, "Ghosts," shifts the show into darker territory. Hannah (Jennifer Garner), Bailey (Angourie Rice) and Owen (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) are left in an even more difficult spot after the death of Grady Bradford (Augusto Aguilera).

Grady, the U.S. Marshal who had consistently been on their side, turns up dead, seemingly of an overdose, though Owen believes there is more to the story. The character had been vital since the beginning and, after an argument with Hannah in Episode 2, was later found missing.

Hannah's search at Grady's office revealed he was supposed to be on leave and had kept his investigation secret from his boss, Maris Anderson. Beyond the emotional blow, Grady's death strips the Michaels family of a key ally and destroys the evidence he and Owen collected.
