Other publishers reached out to Fluent Planet for quotes, and Thierry Tavakelian, a founder of Fluent Planet, said, "The demand is increasing quite rapidly now." Machine translation has improved quickly for common language pairs like English and French, prompting warnings that translation jobs could disappear.

A recent study identified translation and interpreting as among the industries most affected, and Friedrich Merz predicted, "One day, thanks to artificial intelligence, we will no longer need interpreters." Still, many experts argue A.I.
