Bob Odenkirk’s sequel Nobody 2 has climbed to the top of Netflix’s charts after an earlier run on Peacock, placing Alan Ritchson’s new sci-fi action film War Machine in second. War Machine is described as a Predator-esque tale of a man’s fight to survive against an ominous alien threat.

Nobody 2 struggled at the box office, grossing just $41 million against a $25 million budget, while the original post-pandemic film earned almost $60 million on a $16 million budget. The sequel’s weaker theatrical return has been offset by renewed interest on streaming.

Critical response has been broadly positive: Rotten Tomatoes lists a certified fresh 76% score, with audiences at 88%. The site’s consensus reads, "While frumpy action-hero Hutch Mansell tries to enjoy a nice vacation, Bob Odenkirk works overtime to make Nobody 2 a diverting sequel that measures up admirably to the original." A synopsis adds: "Workaholic assassin Hutch Mansell takes his family on a much-needed vacation to the small tourist town of Plummerville.
