Pillion, the erotic comedy starring Alexander Skarsgård, holds a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes and is gaining momentum after a limited theatrical debut. The film opened last week in four theaters and has been selling out shows ahead of a wider expansion.

Over the weekend it grossed a little more than $240,000 from those four locations, a per-theater average of around $60,000. That matches up closely with Stellan Skarsgård’s Sentimental Value, which delivered a $58,000 per-theater average in its own four-theater launch; Pillion also posted higher per-theater averages than Bugonia and After the Hunt, while Marty Supreme led the 2025 list with about $145,000 from six locations.

Pillion previously opened in the United Kingdom, where it grossed roughly $1.5 million, and its worldwide total stands at approximately $1.7 million. Directed by Harry Lighton in his feature debut, the film follows a timid man who enters a romantic relationship with a biker played by Skarsgård and co-stars Harry Melling.
