All endangered species locations in Monster Hunter Stories 3

Monster Hunter Stories 3 lets you tame monsters from the mainline series, and nine endangered species appear only in specific places. Some quests and the main story send you after a handful, but you must seek out the rest. Defeating the invasive monsters that guard these rare dens lets you claim their eggs and recruit powerful monsties.

In Azuria, Rathian sits in a den on the eastern edge of Sunpetal Plains, guarded by an Invasive Yian Garuga; break its legs to force a retreat and claim the egg. Lagiacrus hides in a cave in Mirror Lake near the Catavan Stand island, protected by an Invasive Plesioth—use a hammer to break its head before recovering the egg.

Astalos is in the northwestern corner of Mirror Lake; glide there with a flying monstie, then use a hammer with an AOE skill to win a Head-to-Head against the Invasive Seregios and drive it away. The Canyne egg is part of the main story and found in the southern part of the Cantalta Timberland, where an Invasive Arzuros will summon monsters until it flees.
