Allison Williams Says "Sun Never Sets" on the M3GAN Franchise

M3GAN began as a modest Blumhouse release in January 2023 that became a financial and critical surprise after clips of the robot went viral. The film spawned a sequel, M3GAN 2.0, and a spin-off titled SOULM8TE, but the spin-off was pulled from Universal's release schedule a month before it was due to open and has had no updates since.

Allison Williams, who stars in the M3GAN films, told CBR that fans should not give up hope for the franchise. She pointed to real-world advances in artificial intelligence, saying, "I mean, every time I read about AI, which is every day because we live in it now, I'm like, 'That is something we would've written into this franchise.' And when I was hearing about the room for agents, the chat rooms for AI assistants to chat to each other, I was like, 'Oh, M3GAN is ruling that chat room.
