The Rare Beauty formula begins glossy and then transforms into a lightweight oil, designed to gently plump lips without being sticky. “The inspiration came from wanting to create a lip product that could create the same flush of color for lips that the Soft Pinch Liquid Blush creates for cheeks,” Gomez told Elle, saying it took “two years to develop because it’s such a unique texture.” Selena Gomez has called the bright pink shade Happy her favorite, though Liu’s appears to be a deeper hue, such as Honesty or Delight; the brand did not confirm the color.
