Amazon’s entry-level Kindle drops to $90 in current sale
Amazon's latest entry-level Kindle is on sale for $90, a $20 discount off its usual price. It's not a record low, but represents a budget-friendly option for readers.
Engadget included the device on its list of best ereaders. The Kindle ships with 16GB of storage and is available in two colorways.
The build is compact, durable and light, making it easy to pack and hold one-handed. The ereader provides access to the Kindle library, and this offer includes three months of Kindle Unlimited.
As an entry-level model, it lacks a color screen and stylus support. Engadget's reviewer said the battery lasts around six weeks with regular use.
The main drawback is that the device comes with lockscreen ads by default; a pricier version without ads is available. The reviewer noted the ads are tethered to the lockscreen and mostly promote books.
