ZDNET’s Maria Diaz tested Amazon’s Fire TV Omni QLED Series, using the 65-inch model priced at $850 as her family’s main television and calling it a significant upgrade from her four‑year‑old LG TV. Diaz said the QLED panel delivers a crisp, detailed image with lifelike colors, HDR10+ Adaptive support and full‑array local dimming for deep blacks and bright whites.

The set has thin bezels and Amazon’s Ambient Experience for artwork or personal images when the screen is off, and it supports Omnisense sensors that can wake the display when someone enters the room. The Omni QLED Series includes hands‑free Alexa+ with generative AI features that Diaz said can do more than typical voice assistants, such as finding films, explaining themes, offering genre suggestions tied to actors and even creating snack recipes from pantry items.

Audio supports Dolby Audio and can be routed to external speakers or soundbars via a digital audio port or Bluetooth; Diaz tested the TV with HomePod minis and a Sonos Era 300. ZDNET’s buying advice called the 65‑inch Omni QLED an ideal midrange choice for buyers who want a hands‑free AI assistant, a fast quad‑core processor and an attractive picture; Diaz reported no navigation bugs after more than a month of use.
