AMC renews The Audacity for a second season before premiere

AMC has ordered a second season of The Audacity before the series has aired a single episode, a rare pre-premiere renewal that reflects confidence in creator Jonathan Glatzer’s vision. The satirical series stars Billy Magnussen and is scheduled to debut on AMC and AMC+ on April 12, 2026, after an SXSW premiere on March 14.

Preliminary casting is already underway for the sophomore outing, which is also set to consist of eight episodes. With production accelerating, the team appears focused on getting new seasons of the satire into production as quickly as possible.

Directors attached include Alexander Buono, Daniel Gray Longino, Daniel Sackheim and Lucy Forbes. The credited cast list features Lili Park-Hoffsteader, Paul Adelstein, Dr. Gary Felder, Martin Phister and Carl Bardolph.
