Amendment 42 updates ROSES-2025 F.10 PRISM lunar payload solicitation
ROSES-2025 Amendment 42 makes several changes to F.10 Payloads and Research Investigations on the Surface of the Moon (PRISM), the NASA solicitation for development and flight of science-driven instrument suites and technology demonstration payloads for lunar surface investigations.
The amendment will be posted on the NASA research opportunity homepage on or about January 30, 2026. F.10 PRISM solicits payloads that address science goals of any SMD division (Planetary Science, Earth Science, Heliophysics, Astrophysics, and Biological and Physical Sciences), objectives of the Exploration Systems Development Mission Directorate (ESDMD), and technology demonstration goals of the Space Technology Mission Directorate (STMD) that advance capabilities for science, exploration, or commercial development of the Moon.
Payloads will be delivered on a Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) lander to a location on the lunar surface identified and justified in the proposal, including the South Pole region but excluding the North Pole region. The amendment updates the Architecture Definition Document in Section 1, including new Data Gaps and updated Technology Gaps that proposals may address.
Tables F.10-1 and F.10-2 were revised to include the Safety and Mission Assurance plan and the Master Equipment List and/or Power Equipment List appendices. Section 5 adds new guidance for Period of Performance budgeting for south polar investigations.
