Amy Duggar 'sickened' by cousin Joseph Duggar's arrest

Amy Duggar responded to her cousin Joseph Duggar’s child molestation arrest, saying she feels "sickened, heartbroken and deeply angry." She said her first thoughts are with the victim, "a child who deserved to be safe, protected and surrounded by people she could trust," and praised the "courage it took for her to come forward." The former "19 Kids and Counting" alum said she was "utterly shocked" by the allegations but added she was "not surprised that another alleged predator has emerged from this toxic system." As an author and longtime advocate for protecting children, she said she has spoken out about truth and accountability "even when it meant going against my own family" and has worked to "break cycles" in both her extended and immediate family.
