Anna Sui, long linked to 1990s fashion, has seen renewed attention in recent years: a traveling exhibition, a new book, an Old Navy collaboration, a Barbie doll made in her likeness and a crop of Gen Z celebrities wearing her designs. Her mix of girlish, preppy and grungy styles has found life on resale platforms, and she will show her fall 2026 collection at New York Fashion Week.

That revival has been driven in part by a new generation of family members. All born in the 1990s and raised in Michigan, Ms. Sui’s three nieces have taken on key roles at the label. Isabelle Sui is vice president, overseeing business and growth strategies; Jeannie Sui Wonders has helped shape the brand’s visual identity through photography and campaigns; and Chase Sui Wonders serves as a de facto brand ambassador, appearing in campaigns and wearing Anna Sui onscreen and on red carpets.

Ms. Sui, who started the business in 1981, remains the brand’s sole owner and runs a compact team of 30 employees.
