Just yesterday, a fan-run Final Fantasy 14 news blog was taken down after Square Enix moved against allegedly harmful content aimed at the MMO's developers. Now another similar site has gone offline. On March 2, Square Enix said in an open letter that its priority is maintaining a safe workplace where developers do not fear harassment.

The company filed a request to disclose the administrator of Netoge Sokuho (formerly 'FF14 Sokuho'), alleging the blog hosted content that undermined the developers' social reputation. The hosting provider supplied the admin's identity; that administrator then agreed to take the site down, pay an unspecified amount and posted an apology to Square Enix.

Despite that outcome, Umadori Sokuho has also gone down, apparently because its admin chose to close it rather than as a result of direct action by the developers. Square Enix has not commented on Umadori Sokuho.
