Anthropic CEO Slams Pentagon Decision As 'Unprecedented'

Anthropic says it was the first to deploy its AI models on classified US military cloud networks, CEO Dario Amodei said. He responded after the Department of Defense and the White House ordered military contractors that do business with the Pentagon to stop using Anthropic’s products.

Amodei told CBS News that Anthropic objected to the use of its models for mass domestic surveillance and for fully autonomous weapons that can fire without any human input.
