Antonin Kinsky, Loris Karius and Champions League goalkeeping errors
Antonin Kinsky's name will live in Tottenham and Champions League infamy. Thrust into the line-up for Tuesday's last-16 first leg at Atletico Madrid, the Spurs goalkeeper lasted just 17 minutes after twice gifting goals to Diego Simeone's side in what will go down as one of the worst goalkeeping performances in the history of Europe's premier club competition.
Gigi Donnarumma's error against Real Madrid in the 2021-22 last 16 similarly turned a tie and, ultimately, a tournament. Having won the first leg 1-0, Paris Saint-Germain looked well placed after Kylian Mbappe's Bernabeu strike, but Donnarumma dallied by his own byline, was tackled by Karim Benzema, and the loose ball ran to Vinicius Jr before Benzema finished the move — the first of a match-winning hat-trick that helped Madrid on their way to the trophy.
Joe Hart's showing for Manchester City against Bayern Munich in the 2013 group stage also stands out.
