The Seville derby ended in chaos after Antony was filmed in a heated exchange with Real Betis supporters following a 2-2 draw with Sevilla, having opened the scoring with a first-half strike at the Villamarín. Fifteen minutes in, after a deflected ball in the penalty area, Antony timed an overhead kick to send the ball into the net, a moment that underlined his revival since moving permanently from Manchester United.

Betis led 2-0 by the 40th minute, but the second half swung in Sevilla’s favour as defensive errors and tactical lapses allowed a comeback capped by an 85th-minute equaliser. As the final whistle blew the earlier cheers turned to boos, and cameras showed Antony approach the lower tier and engage verbally with supporters.

Footage showed him jump over an advertising board before teammates and staff intervened; Cucho Hernández tried to pull him away and became involved, and Chimy Ávila, stadium security and Betis staff separated players and fans.
