Anya Taylor-Joy Returns as Princess Peach in Super Mario Galaxy

Anya Taylor-Joy returns to voice Princess Peach in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, which arrives in theaters on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. The sequel again features high-profile names, with Chris Pratt as Mario and Charlie Day as Luigi. Mario and Luigi bring a 'let’s-a-go' attitude to solving everyday problems across the Mushroom Kingdom, supporting Peach while working to reform a miniaturized, imprisoned Bowser and meeting a new companion, Yoshi.

Peach’s birthday party sets off a galactic adventure that sends the brothers into space to stop Bowser Jr.’s ambitions and save Rosalina. Taylor-Joy says Peach’s role shifts toward a journey of self-discovery: the character leaves the Mushroom Kingdom, remains deeply empathetic and is more intent on finding where she comes from and prioritizing herself.

The actress spoke about the arc during a March 18 appearance on TODAY with Craig Melvin, noting she was excited to learn more about a character who had already begun coming into her own in the first film.
