Apple unveils $599 MacBook Neo, M5 MacBook Pros, iPhone 17e

Apple held an event on March 4 in New York and unveiled the MacBook Neo, a $599 laptop, alongside products announced earlier in the week. Tim Cook had signaled new products would be announced beginning March 2. All the devices are available for preorder today, with general availability on March 11.

The MacBook Neo is a 13-inch machine with a Liquid Retina display, 16-hour battery life, the A18 Pro processor with Apple Intelligence support, a multi-touch trackpad, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It weighs 2.7lbs, has a lightweight aluminum construction and will be available in colors including Blush, Indigo, Silver, and Citrus.

On March 2 Apple introduced an iPad Air with the M4 chip and the iPhone 17e. The iPad Air brings larger memory bandwidth, an improved Center Stage camera and faster connectivity with N1 and C1X; the 11-inch starts at $599 and the 13-inch at $799.
