Arc Raiders adds two new robots in Shrouded Sky update: Firefly and Comet

The Arc Raiders Shrouded Sky update, due out tomorrow, adds a hurricane map condition that pushes players around, gives bursts of speed, and reduces the effectiveness of shields. A teaser for a new Arc enemy was expanded in a dedicated Shrouded Sky blog post. Rather than a single new foe, the update introduces two robo threats: the Firefly and the Comet.

The Comet is described as a "spherical Arc machine that calmly patrols the surface" and will "lock on with a frightening focus before exploding with a seismic boom." Pops are easy to deal with in Arc Raiders, so the Comet may not look intimidating at first. The update's trailer doesn't show a Comet attacking, but its calm patrol suggests it could be hard to detect and might produce a larger explosion than its smaller cousins.

Embark continues to expand the small bot fleet; with Wasps and Hornets feeling too common outdoors, the Firefly and Comet should help shake things up.
