Arc Raiders nerfs blueprint drops as players find First Wave caches too easily
Embark Studios deployed another round of tweaks for Arc Raiders in the latest patch, including "a very hot fix" for the Dam Controlled Access Zone and bug fixes for a snaphook glitch and an issue where arcs could cause drops in performance. The headline change reduces the drop rate of rare blueprints.
The patch notes explain the reasoning: "The main reason for this change is that the First Wave Caches have been handing out a lot of blueprints, especially given how good players have been at tracking them down and looting them." To compensate, Embark is increasing drop rates for higher-tier materials inside caches so crafting better gear should become slightly easier.
"So while you might see a few fewer blueprints overall, you’ll be getting better materials in return," the notes add, a welcome shift after Wolfpacks recently became more pricey to craft.
