Are Upton and Halstead Back Together?

Detectives Jay Halstead and Hailey Upton reunited during P.D.'s crossover with Chicago Med and Chicago Fire, slipping back into a familiar groove after years apart. The two had divorced after Halstead left Chicago to return to the army for an undercover assignment in Bolivia; Upton filed for divorce after he stopped communicating and later left the unit at the end of Season 11.

The crossover plot revolved around a deadly nerve agent released on a commercial flight that triggered a citywide manhunt. Upton returned to Chicago to track a drug trafficker she suspected was connected to Halstead, while his return from Bolivia made him useful to the FBI and Intelligence Unit.
