Armored Core: Mobile 3, a 2007 flip‑phone game, is now on Steam for $11
Pcgamer reports that Japanese publisher G-Mode has released Armored Core: Mobile 3 on Steam, offering the mobile-era title for $11.
The game was originally released for flip phones in 2007 and was a Japanese exclusive; it takes place between Armored Core Nexus and Armored Core Last Raven, both offshoots of Armored Core 3, which appeared on PlayStation 2 in 2004 and 2005. Until now only 2023's Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon was officially available on PC. The port appears unmodernized, though it does appear to have controller support, and few players will have the patience to play it without English subs.
Why this mobile port rather than more palatable console instalments has never been officially addressed. The series' publishing history involves multiple stakeholders, including Sega, Sony, Ubisoft, the now-defunct Agetec and Bandai Namco, and the outlet said this sort of reissue probably won't reach the level of success of a Dark Souls or Elden Ring. If you want to see the port in action, YouTuber Cleric Armored Core recorded a recent stream.
