Liverpool manager Arne Slot believes Paris Saint-Germain will not relish their Champions League quarter-final clash with his side, after both teams advanced to the last eight. Liverpool overturned a first-leg deficit to win 4-1 on aggregate at Anfield, while the holders beat Chelsea 8-2 over two legs.

The Reds' goals came from Dominik Szoboszlai, Hugo Ekitike, Ryan Gravenberch and Mohamed Salah. Slot reflected on last season's meeting with PSG, saying Liverpool were outplayed away but produced a strong Anfield performance that went to penalties; he added that PSG have maintained high standards and “won’t be that happy to play for us” after seeing Liverpool’s display.

Slot praised his team’s performance against Galatasaray, commending the pressing, the fans’ reaction and the players’ response when opponents tried to disrupt momentum.
