Arnold Schwarzenegger said he is in talks to return to the Predator franchise while at the Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus, Ohio. "They did an additional Predator, and the director (Dan Trachtenberg) has been doing a great job of that," he said, adding, "Now, he wants me to be in the next Predator.

We’ve talked about it. As a matter of fact, FOX studios has kind of rediscovered Arnold." Dan Trachtenberg has steered the series in a new direction, beginning with the prequel Prey, followed by the animated anthology Killers of Killers and the theatrical entry Predator: Badlands.

The films have been successive hits that Trachtenberg says have left him "in this zone of dreaming up more" for the franchise even as he works on other projects. The Predator saga began in 1987 with Schwarzenegger in the lead alongside Elpidia Carrillo, Carl Weathers, Richard Chaves and Sonny Landham.
