Arsenal player ratings vs Sunderland: Gyokeres scores twice
Viktor Gyokeres came off the bench to score twice as Arsenal beat Sunderland 3-0, moving the Gunners nine points clear at the top of the Premier League. He replaced Gabriel Jesus midway through the second half and produced a quickfire brace to add to Martin Zubimendi's opener.
Sunderland provided stubborn resistance early at the Emirates, but Leandro Trossard set up Zubimendi for a strike that fizzed in off the post from just outside the box. Both Kai Havertz and Declan Rice went close before the breakthrough. Havertz then supplied Gyokeres for the second midway through the second half, and in stoppage time Gabriel Martinelli released Gyokeres to tap in, his sixth goal in eight appearances.
