Arsenal get triple fitness boost as Saliba, Trossard and Calafiori return
Arsenal received a triple fitness boost ahead of their Champions League round-of-16 first leg with Bayer Leverkusen after William Saliba, Leandro Trossard and Riccardo Calafiori were all present at the final training session at the Sobha Realty Training Centre in London Colney before the trip to Germany.
Saliba had missed the club's last two fixtures after sustaining an ankle injury during the high-octane victory over Chelsea, and his return to the grass suggests he is ready to resume his role at the heart of the defence as the team switches back to continental action.
Trossard and Calafiori were withdrawn early from the FA Cup tie with Mansfield and their fitness had been questioned, but their participation in the final session supports Mikel Arteta's description of the problems as "little niggles" and suggests the substitutions were precautionary.
