Arteta praises Arsenal unity after Wolves setback and Spurs response
Arteta said he could not be prouder and happier with what he had seen, especially given the way the team lived the last 72 hours and the response they showed against Spurs.
He reflected on the disappointment against Wolves and the manner in which they lost two points in the last kick of the game, calling it tough and saying there was no explanation for how that result happened. Players were left feeling angry, upset and at times ashamed.
Despite that, he said bringing everybody together and aligning on what would happen next was a joy, and that they aimed to use the episode as a turning point. Ultimately, he added, they had to deliver on the pitch and their performance from beginning to end was outstanding.
