Assassin's Creed update teases Hexe, Invictus and co-op return
Ubisoft is remaking Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag while outlining several new projects for the franchise, including a darker single-player entry, a PvP multiplayer title and the return of cooperative play, franchise head of content Jean Guesdon said. Guesdon addressed reports that he has taken over as creative director on Codename Hexe, a project first announced in 2022 as "a different approach to innovate in terms of gameplay." He described Hexe as a "unique, darker, narrative-driven Assassin’s Creed experience, set during a pivotal moment in history" and said the Montreal team is taking time to deliver its ambitious vision.
