NASA Goddard supplies highly amorphous Mg-silicate, Fe-silicate and Fe-Mg silicate smokes; highly amorphous Fe-aluminate, Mg-aluminate and SiO-aluminate smokes; and graphitic and carbonaceous coated Fe-silicate smokes for laboratory experiments requiring freshly condensed analogs of circumstellar or presolar dust.

The Agnostic Biosignature Collective is an interdisciplinary research group that develops innovative detection tools and techniques for identifying living systems. Its approach focuses on fundamental characteristics rather than relying on biochemical analogy. The Astrobiology Analytical Lab and the Hot Environments Lab identify organic materials like amino acids from meteorites, extraterrestrial analogs, and sample return missions.

Within Extreme Environment Chemistry, the Cosmic Ice Lab studies the spectra, chemistry, and physical properties of ices.
