Asus leans on high-end mix and AI to weather the memory crisis
The memory crisis appears to be hitting almost everyone, from PC gamers to PC suppliers, but Asus doesn't seem too worried. Opening the topic, Asus CFO Nick Wu says, "I would like to briefly add that as investors are currently focusing on the rise in memory prices in 2026, and of course, that may suppress the demand and consequently the profitability in the 2026 PC market." He adds, "Overall, we are very confident in achieving a stable operation in 2026 that will be able to outperform the industry." Asus argues its status as a trusted brand gives it contracts and relationships that could secure hardware ahead of less established companies, turning a supply squeeze into an opportunity through tactical partnerships.
The company also manufactures graphics cards and motherboards; with graphics-card prices rising and motherboard demand likely to dip if gaming-PC sales fall, that product mix helps smooth revenue. Diversifying its range of products, Asus says, lets it pass higher manufacturing costs onto consumers.
