Asus ROG Azoth 96 HE review: best magnetic keyboard, but pricey
The Asus ROG Azoth 96 HE stands out as the best magnetic option on the market right now, but its high price tag risks keeping it out of reach for many gamers. It pairs snappy, energetic typing with a wireless connection and a battery that lasts well beyond most Hall effect decks, yet the included wrist rest can feel awkward and the overall cost is notable.
At the heart of the Azoth 96 HE are Asus’s ROG HFX V2 magnetic switches. They deliver a lively, well-damped typing experience with per-key adjustable actuation from 0.1mm to 3.5mm, faster repeat inputs via configurable reset points, and the ability to assign up to four functions per keypress.
Compared with the Corsair Vanguard Pro 96 and other Hall effect offerings, the Azoth brings extra snap and polish to both typing and gaming. Beyond the switches, the keyboard’s wireless options (Bluetooth and 2.4GHz) and a battery life of roughly 45 to 50 hours make it more practical for cordless use than many rivals.
