Attack the Block, Joe Cornish's 2011 debut, has become a cult favorite and is now streaming for free on Pluto TV in the United States. The film flopped at the box office, grossing just $1 million domestically while playing in a maximum of 66 theaters.

The 88-minute sci-fi follows a group of London youths who find themselves in the middle of an alien invasion and features a star-making performance from John Boyega. The cast also includes Jodie Whittaker and Nick Frost.

Critics embraced the movie from the start: it holds a "Certified Fresh" 91% score on Rotten Tomatoes, with praise for its mix of scares, laughs, and social commentary. Financially it made about $6 million worldwide against a reported $12 million budget.

Cornish later co-wrote The Adventures of Tintin and worked on the Ant-Man screenplay, and his follow-up, The Kid Who Would Be King, also earned positive reviews despite underperforming. You can watch Attack the Block on Pluto TV.
