Authorities collect DNA from workers in Nancy Guthrie case
Authorities are collecting DNA samples from hired workers who had access to Nancy Guthrie’s Arizona home as the search for the 84-year-old continues. Investigators say DNA was possibly found inside the house or around the scene, and the samples will be used to eliminate suspects or give a fuller picture of what might have occurred.
Since Guthrie was reported missing on Feb. 1, law enforcement has said it is "actively looking at everybody" as a suspect. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said, "We’re actively looking at everybody we come across in this case. Everybody. We would be irresponsible if we didn’t talk to everybody." He also confirmed officers spoke with the Uber driver who drove Guthrie to her daughter Annie Guthrie and husband Tommaso Cioni’s Tucson home for dinner the evening of her disappearance, and added that the family has been "very cooperative." The FBI released photos of an armed, masked individual at Guthrie’s front door who appeared to tamper with the porch camera.
