Authorities hunt for car possibly linked to Nancy Guthrie kidnapping
Authorities are searching for a car believed to be linked to Nancy Guthrie’s kidnapping. A Circle K spokesperson said law enforcement visited the Oracle Road store in Tucson after a tip about a vehicle of interest, and staff provided access to the store’s surveillance video.
The FBI said it and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department are aware of a new message concerning Nancy Guthrie and are examining it for authenticity, and asked anyone with tips to call 1-800-CALL-FBI. Investigators reiterated a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to Guthrie’s recovery or the arrest and conviction of those involved.
The vehicle being sought has not been publicly identified. Days before Guthrie disappeared, her neighbor Brett McIntire reported a suspicious white, full-sized van with no markings parked on the street near the 84-year-old’s home. McIntire said such vehicles usually carry company signage or markings; he could not recall the exact day he first saw it.
