Dan Trachtenberg's film brings the alien planet Genna to life and centers on a Yautja lead, Dek. The VFX that animate Dek and his Weyland-Yutani synthetic companion are a major focus, and Genna is populated with explosive grubs, acid-spitting eels and the unkillable Kalisk, as well as forests with killer tree vines, plains of razor grass and fields of paralyzing spikes.
