Many fans are treating the Super Bowl as a backdrop to Bad Bunny’s halftime performance, throwing “Bad Bunny Bowl” or “Benito Bowl” parties and decking homes with Puerto Rican flags, tropical plants and posters of the Sapo Concho mascot. Jessica Santoni, who has turned her house into a themed space and even considered cardboard cutouts of the artist, said, “I keep forgetting that there’s a freaking football game.” Alyssa Gonzalez is hosting friends and family in Marlboro, N.J., serving Puerto Rican takes on game-day food — beef sliders with plátano buns, tostones nachos and spicy guava-glazed wings — along with passion fruit and coconut mojitos (Bacardi only) and Medalla from local bodegas.

Gonzalez, who grew up in a Caribbean household where baseball was the sport of choice, said, “The concert is really what we’re tapped in for.” The enthusiasm feels especially intense after Debí Tirar Más Fotos became the first Spanish-language L.P. to win the Grammy for album of the year.
