Bad Bunny accepted the Grammy Award for best música urbana album and used his acceptance speech to say "ICE out." He has won the category three times in its five-year history. He took aim at the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement, saying, "We’re not savage, we’re not animals, we’re not aliens.

We are humans, and we are Americans." Several artists in attendance wore pins that read "ICE OUT," including Kehlani, Justin and Hailey Bieber, Billie Eilish, Justin Vernon and Samara Joy. His latest release, "Debí Tirar Más Fotos," was up for the evening’s top four prizes, and his upcoming Super Bowl halftime performance was set to be the first performed entirely in Spanish.

He has said he avoided touring in the United States out of fear of ICE agents and instead staged a residency in Puerto Rico. After his halftime announcement, President Trump called the choice "absolutely ridiculous" and said he would not attend; Kristi Noem, the homeland security secretary, said ICE would "be all over" the Super Bowl.
