Bayern Munich are said to be convinced England captain Harry Kane will sign a new contract despite ongoing links to the Premier League and the Saudi Pro League. Kane left Tottenham in 2023 and has scored 123 goals for Bayern in less than three seasons; his current deal runs until 2027 and reportedly contains a clause that could allow a summer exit for £57 million.

Sporting director Max Eberl offered a cautious update, saying: "I said we were in talks, but the negotiations have not started yet. We are in close contact with Harry, and further steps will follow." Kane appears happy in Germany, yet speculation about moves to the Middle East or back to England persists.

A transfer to the Saudi Pro League looks unlikely as Kane is said to be focused on adding European trophies, while a return to the Premier League remains a recurring possibility given his 213 Premier League goals. Sky Germany correspondent Kerry Hau added: "The player always mentions how happy he is in Munich.
