Bayern reportedly pull out of deal for Hertha teen Kennet Eichhorn
FC Bayern have apparently pulled out of the race to sign 16-year-old Kennet Eichhorn from Hertha BSC. Sport1 says there has been a U-turn for two reasons: Eichhorn’s release clause is reportedly between ten and twelve million euros, and Bayern fear the move would create discontent within their youth academy.
Eichhorn is regarded as one of Germany’s greatest talents; at 16 he earned a place in Hertha’s starting line-up during the first half of the season. Signing him would complicate the pathway for Munich’s young midfielders, with David Santos Daiber (19) and Felipe Chavez (18) recently making their debuts, the latter having moved to 1.
FC Köln on loan in winter. Separately, Bayern will bring Noel Aseko back from Hannover 96 this summer, the club confirmed. The 20-year-old came through Bayern’s youth ranks and was on loan at Hannover; after the second-tier club exercised a €1 million purchase option, Bayern activated a €2.5 million buy-back clause.
